Sadly, my Alaska cruise is going to conflict with the BDE. Also, I know how unbelievably slow those satellite-Internet connections are when everyone on the damn ship is trying to upload their photos and I refuse to subject myself to the aggravation. So Dani is heading home for a bit to visit her brother, Mary is heading home to visit her sisters, and my off-island characters are going to be too occupied with stuff to keep up with communication. Unless my selfie with a moose goes horribly wrong, I'll be back in two weeks.

As you can probably guess from my recent spamming, I'm headed out of town. Even better, I'm headed out of the country until September 17th. Or September 18th, since I have have a really tight connection on my return flight that I'm worried that I might miss.

Mary is a blue-footed booby since I will never get tired of that joke. Dani is a Chihuahua that bites and has a fondness for Taco Bell. Lion-o and stealthed-until-now Ryan are stuck in a locker. My alums and ex-pat are off in their own worlds, doing their own thing.

Please try to leave the island in one piece while I'm gone!
