Dani hadn't really been paying attention to everything going on around her. Really, if she knew about all the monstrous bugs and the disappearing people, she wouldn't have decided to slip into a bikini and take a dip in the pool.
In a way, she was lucky that she was safely in the pool when her house disappeared into the void. Unfortunately, she was left behind with a wet bikini, a damp towel, and no clothing to change into.
